Month of Creativity
School has started and my family is settling into a routine and things seem to be slowing down a bit from summer. This seems like the perfect time to commit myself to a month long project. I'm thinking that I need to do something creative every day! So, for the month of September every day I will do my best to post a new project or technique that I have tried. Stay tuned!!

Trim Heaven!
I have been in love with this rose trim ever since I saw Arlene use it on YouTube. I got some at my local Hobby Lobby for somewhere in the range of $5 a yard. Imagine how excited I was to see these 25 yd rolls at Scrapbuck.com for only $7!!!!!! I got two of the cream and plan to color it with Glimmer Mists. Go check it out!

Jewelry!
My daughter and I love jewelry. When she told me she wanted a long necklace with a key on it I searched the stores but couldn't find what I was looking for. I noticed that Hobby Lobby had jewelry findings half off I decided I could just make it myself. I'm thinking jewelry making might be my new hobby!

Things I Love Right Now
1. The Evernote app for my iPhone (you can also dowload to your computer and sync them). Evernote lets me copy clips from the internet and save them in notebooks. I have also made notebooks for my scrapbook supplies, home decor, family stuff and a notebook for my wish list. You can add photos, voice memos and notes. Its just a great app! To download on your computer go to http://www.evernote.com/
2. Camera apps on my iPhone. Some of my favorites right now are Pocketbooth, Camera+ and Hipstomatic. Here are some photos using Hipstomatic
I love that they are square!!!
This photo is done with Camera+. It lets you add borders and effects after you take the picture.
3. Ali Edwards stamps by Technique Tuesday. I am on my way to collecting all the ones my LSS carries. They are great quality stamps and AE puts out a new limited edition set each month. Find them at http://www.techniquetuesday.com/
4. I am a member of a group called Let's Scrap. Each week there is a new sketch challenge with prizes. This group gets me motivated to do a little traditional scrapbooking amidst all my mini-book-mania! Check it out at http://www.letsscrap.ning.com/ The current sketch is:

Some Scrapbooking!!!
After finishing all of my class projects through September I thought it time for some traditional scrapbooking. I did this two page spread using this week's sketch at Let's Scrap.
I started with two 12x12 pieces of white cardstock. I added some patterened paper from the DCWV Miraposa stack. Using my TH die I cut the journal block. The flowers are Prima, leaves from I Am Roses and the bling is from Studio G and Bazzill. On the journaling block I used AE Technique Tuesday stamps. Thanks for looking!
Collage Art
This art journal page uses some decoupage and collage. I got a lovely new Fossil bag and I used the tissue paper as a background with a blue wash over it. The heart is a collage of torn bits of paper painted with cryoquinedine(sp?) magenta. I used the photo transfer technique using gel medium on the photo of my honey. I freehand painted teh words with black paint. The flowers are trim from Hobby Lobby.
Pretty Posies
Using my new Pocket Full of Posies Technique Tuesday stamp and some watercolors I stamped and cut out some beautiful posies for this art journal page.
