Day 2

I just realized that my Day 2 post did not publish as I had scheduled it.  I am not sure what happen and I apologize.  Without further delay I hope you enjoy Day 2!!

Welcome to day 2!  Today's project started with a mirror that met its demise while sitting in our game room.  After removing the broken mirror pieces and the backing I was left with only the frame.  To start I painted the frame black.
Next I cut banner shapes from the ATC pages of my Tim Holtz paper stack.
Using my Vintage Photo Distress Ink I inked each banner piece.

Next went through my stash and gathered up some wire, miniature clothespins and embellishments including my Tim Holtz stash (memo pins, mini paper clips, film strip, etc.).  The white Thickers I painted with Fired Brick crackle paint.

I strung the wire across two times to hang the banners from.  i painted the clothespins in black and printed out pictures of my family to add to the banners.  Here is the finished project to hang in my office at work.

I still need to get some ribbon to add a bow to the top center but other than that it is ready to hang.  Hope this gets you thinking about old frames you may have.  Thanks for looking!!!
